And now, another minister has done something a lot more severe than just having a meal in parliament – vaping.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein was reportedly caught red-handed vaping during a Parliamentary session, and pictures of him smoking away went viral on social media recently.
It was believed that the clip was dated on 3 August, according to The Star.

On his part, the minister addressed the viral clip on Twitter, as he owned up and apologised, saying that he didn’t realise it as it was a new habit and promised not to do it again.
Hishamuddin also added that he has been compounded by the Health Ministry and will be paying the fine.

In case you're wondering, the Parliament has been a designated as a non-smoking area by former Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad in October 2018.
Anyone found breaking the law can be slapped with a maximum compound of RM500, and can be fined up to RM10,000 or face imprisonment of up to two months, or both.
Let's hope Hishamuddin has learnt his lesson.
