Gardenia Bread Has Become A Hot Commodity And The Company That Makes Them Is At Full Capacity
A lot of times in our lives, we take things for granted. Like the ability to go out of the house without fearing viruses will attack, not getting bombed every other day, the sun rising and setting, being able to find white Gardenia bread whenever we want... so many things.
Malaysians are finding this out the hard way, especially about the bread.
Having troubles keeping up with the demands
Many even thought the the company that produces the bread has stopped operating because of the Movement Control Order (MCO), despite being categorised under 'essentials' and even came up with social media posts dedicated to the bread.
Some even offered to resell the bread they managed to buy for ridiculous pricing (jokingly, we hope).

Amboi, berlagak ye you ni.
Don't worry guys, you too can still get Gardenia bread. Provided you're 'kiasu' enough to wake up super early and hit the supermarkets at the right time.
In a Facebook post, Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn Bhd assured Malaysia that it is working 24/7 to provide bread to Malaysians, despite MCO.
"We urge all our customers to stay calm and buy according to your usual needs and daily consumption," the statement said.
We understand that most of us are probably eating more bread now since it's the cheaper and easier option, but there's only so much Gardenia can produce in a day.
Why don't you try the wholemeal bread or other varients the company produces the next time?
