The Parliament can be a scary place where scary things happen, like when the Anti-Fake News Bill came to pass.On Tuesday, however, an appearance of a 'ghost' had everyone talking.
Pictures showing a figure with long braided hair and a thick beard hanging around the Parliament are making its round on social media.
In one of the pictures, the figure was eerily seen sitting behind a minister while the swearing-in ceremony was taking place.
It didn't take long before netizens were convinced that it was a ghost, because why else would there be a man dressed up like a ghost in the Parliament, right?

As it turns out, the 'ghost' that was seen in the viral photos was not actually a ghost.
The man was actually a friend of Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P. Waythamoorthy, news website Free Malaysia Today revealed.
P. Waythamoorthy told the portal that the man, whose name is Arunachalanandaji, was a Hindu scholar and a very close friend of his.
“He is my brother who has renounced his life for world peace and lives by a mountain in India in seclusion,” he was quoted as saying, adding that Arunachalanandaji was invited to the swearing in ceremony out of respect.
