It's taking a toll on our wallets.

If you've been wondering when the government will decide to abolish all tolls in Malaysia, we finally have an answer.

But it might not be what you were expecting.

Works Minister Baru Bian told The Star Online that the government will only look into abolishing tolls on a much later date.

The reason the decision is taking so long, according to Bian, was because the government needs more time to go over the proposal and come up with the best solution.

Bian wants Malaysians to be patient for now as the government is "trying hard to fulfil promises in the GE14 manifesto".

You can have it.
But don't worry, guys; Bian assured Malaysians that the government will keep to its word of abolishing all tolls in the country.

“What is important is our desire to fulfil the promises. I would like to ask the people to be patient,” he was quoted by the news portal as saying.

According to the news portal, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng was reported to have said that the government will pay more attention into the issue once the country's financial situation improves.

So guys, just give them a little bit more time, OK? Like the saying goes, "bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian".
