GrabFood Will Soon Replace Uber Eats
On Monday, what looks like the biggest acquisition in the region took place. Grab announced that it will be taking over Uber's operations in Southeast Asia, including the food delivery arm Uber Eats.
Besides integrating the ride-hailing platforms together, Grab will also launch a new food delivery system called GrabFood.
According to Grab, this new service will bring together all Uber Eats restaurants, delivery partners, customers and the entire Grab community in a move to become a major player in food delivery.

So if you're worried that your favourite restaurants will be taken out from the list, don't be! Grab has assured that the restaurants will not change in the new app. In fact, they're plan to add more options to the new platform.
The price of food will also remain the same on GrabFood, so just think of it as a name change.
GrabFood will be made available in May, but until then, you can still use the Uber Eats app as usual. Once GrabFood kicks off, you can then sign up for a fresh account and profile, and your order history will stay on the Uber Eats app.
