Guess Which State Has The Highest Life Expectancy In Malaysia

According to the Department, Sarawakian men live up to an average of 75.1 years old, while women in the state has an average life expectancy of 78.6 years.

We mean, with views like these, it's not hard to see why lah:

Residents in the Federal Territories have the second highest life expectancy (at 74.4 years for men and 78.4 years for women) and Selangor came in third with an expectancy of 73.4 years for men and 77.7 years for women.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the spectrum, Terengganu has the lowest life expectancy at birth; 68.8 years for the gents and 74.6 years for the ladies.

Well, here's another piece of good news: the Department of Statistics also revealed that Malaysians in general are living longer today compared to a couple of years back.

Malaysians can expect to live up to an average of 74.8 years in 2017, with the men living up to 72.7 years and the women, 77.4 years.

Six years ago, the average life expectancy was only 74.3 years, so that's a pretty impressive 0.5 years increase.
