This meant that we are slowly going back to how things were pre-pandemic, while observing strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
However, perhaps due to the overexcitement over the prospect of returning to normalcy, it looks like Malaysians are getting complacent.
Next COVID-19 wave?
Photos and videos of the bazaars happening at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman have gone viral on Twitter.
A sea of humans can be seen crowding the bazaar and long lines were formed at the entrance.
While this meant good news for business owners, it may not mean necessarily so for our frontliners as social distancing was almost non-existent at the bazaar.
Netizens took to Twitter to voice out their opinions and said that they were disappointed seeing Malaysians risking their lives and also being part of the problem during the pandemic.
Some feared a new COVID-19 wave or cluster would be coming following their negligence.

Penat dah KKM dok nasihat jaga sop, jaga jarak, jangan pergi tempat sesak. Orang kita tetap degil. Nak jadi macam negara India ker? Nak ramai jangkit & ramai mati lagi ker? Tolong ingat sikit ya. Pandemik covid 19 ini bukan main-main. Berjuta-juta dah mati di seluruh dunia. pic.twitter.com/I8k1XnnM7j

With the rising new cases, I believe many parents prefer not to send their children to school for now. Not only students, but we never know where school staff & teachers went to in the last few days. Just look at pasar Ramadan & latest bazar Aidilfitri, it's worrying!

Malaysia’s current COVID-19 cases have been high over the past few weeks, with cases consistently topping the 2,000 mark.
We cannot let out guard down as our battle against the deadly pandemic is far from over.
Always remember to wear a face mask correctly, practise social distancing, and frequently sanitise or wash your hands.
