By now, we should know by heart the tell-tale signs of a COVID-19 infection: high infection, loss of appetite and difficulty breathing.

And for some, they would also develop a symptom called 'Covid toes' as well:

But apparently, the Ministry of Health has just recently and possibly discovered new signs of a COVID-19 infection.

Keep an eye out for these signs

Health director general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in his daily press conference on Wednesday (27 May) that there are other symptoms we need to keep an eye out for.

Among them are the loss of smell and taste, as well as feeling lethargic, Dr Noor Hisham was quoted by Malay Mail as saying.

High temperature is just one of the symptoms.
The latest symptoms were discovered when authorities conducted a test on an attendee of a post-Cabinet meeting last Wednesday (20 May) who tested positive for the virus.

According to Dr Noor Hisham, the officer in question displayed no signs of fever, flu or cough.

He, however, told authorities that he feels lethargic all the time, and he had lost a little bit of his sense of smell and taste.

Keep an eye out for additional symptoms.
Dr Noor Hisham has advised Malaysians to be extra cautious, as even though some equipments show that everything is normal, "there are other signs that we need to look out for”.

He also advised those who are experiencing mild fever or generally feeling listless to stay home and not go out until they feel better.

“These are also the symptoms of someone who may be infected with COVID-19. So if this is you, stay at home and don’t go to the office,” he was quoted as saying.

Now that you know what symptoms to look out for, be extra careful, yeah?
