Indonesia Imposes Temporary Travel Ban For Visitors To The Country Between 1 Jan to 14 Jan
If you are planning to travel to Indonesia in January, you might as well bid that dream a goodbye.
This is because the country has placed a temporary ban on all foreign travellers visiting the country between 1 Jan to 14 Jan 2021.
The ban was put into effect as a measure to control the COVID-19 infections especially the new strain that was detected in the UK.

Mothership, quoting reports from Bloomberg and The Jakarta Post, reported that only those who held ministerial positions or higher would be allowed into the country.
Green light for ministers and above
"Official visits at the ministerial level and above will be exempted from this temporary entry ban, but will be implemented with very strict health protocols,” said Indonesia's Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi as quoted in the report.
However, the report added that if you are an Indonesian citizen returning from abroad, you can still return to your homeland subject to certain conditions.

Stay safe everyone!
