iPhone Batteries Are Now Priced At RM129 Following Apple’s Performance Debacle
Last month, Apple fans worldwide (including us) were not happy after a shocking discovery – Apple had admitted to intentionally slowing down the performance of older iPhone models after being updated to the latest iOS.
This triggered a backlash as it was said that the company had done this in order to push people to get the newer models. However, Apple rebutted this statement by saying that it was done so “to extend battery life.”
To simmer down the controversy, Apple issued an apology via a statement saying: “We know that some of you feel Apple has let you down. We apologise” and offered discounts for selected iPhone models batteries.
Apple right now The new battery price is now sold at US$29 (RM117) but official Apple authorised dealers are selling them for RM129, down from the original price of RM399. The price is slightly higher than the ones in the US store is due to labour and GST charges.
iPhone users can get their batteries replaced with the new price at all Machines and Switch outlets nationwide.
But users of iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, and iPhone 5S will be disappointed to know that the batteries are still priced at RM399. The new price only applies for iPhone SE models and iPhone 6 to iPhone X models.
Well Apple, next time you want to pull such stunt, you might as well offer 50% discounts on the latest models or better yet, give them for free since we had to endure lagging performance.
We don't want to be friends with you anymore.
