Kecil-Kecil Cili Padi: Perlis Has The Safest Road Drivers In Malaysia

Perlis, the smallest state in the most northern region of Malaysia may always be the butt of the jokes when it comes to it's population.

Still, this quaint little state shows that besides having amazing scenery and delectable food, it also has something else that no other state has.

According to Bernama, Perlis has been recognised as the safest state in Malaysia when it comes to road safety.

The state recorded a low 0.3 per cent road accident rate in 2019, leaving other states far behind.

“Last year, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) acknowledged Perlis as the state with the lowest number of road accidents. I hope this record will be maintained for in the years to come,” Perlis Chief Police Datuk Surina Saad told Bernama. Beautiful Perlis.

She added that the comparison was made based on the population, not the size of the state.

“This goes to show how much the people here prioritise road safety compared to those in other states.”

PDRM is currently running their Op Selamat 16/2020 for Chinese New Year which will end on 1 February.
