Surprise of a different kind
A woman in Kedah thought she struck gold -- well, literally and figuratively -- when her husband came home one day with two red velvet boxes (you know, those boxes people use to store jewellery).
The woman, who goes by the name of Junairah Ab Rahman on Facebook, was even more excited when she opened the boxes and found gold bars in them.
However, her happiness only lasted for just a few seconds as she realised that the ‘gold bars’ were nothing but chicken stock cubes!
Ouch, we could almost hear the heartbreak from here.
Junairah wrote in the caption that she was completely surprised at first when her husband surprised her with red boxes containing gold bars.
However, when she found out that it was all a prank, Junairah took it in her stride.
“Thank you, Mr. Husband, I lap you (I love you) tau, very cheeky of you to pull this prank on me,” she wrote.
Netizens who saw Junairah's post, which has so far been shared more than 1,700 times on the social media site, were equally amused and tickled by her husband's prank.
Thankfully, Junairah is such a good sport! We hope that her husband did not get into too much trouble for the prank.
