Have you wondered how much is the worth of a piece of moon rock?

Someone thinks it’s actually worth £2 million (RM10 million)!

Reuters reported that one of the world’s largest lunar meteorites weighing over 13.5kg is being sold privately at Christie's, a British auction house at that value.

Known as NWA 12691, it is thought to be the fifth largest piece of the moon ever found on earth.

Touch the moon

“The experience of holding a piece of another world in your hands is something you never forget.

“It is an actual piece of the moon. It is about the size of a football, a bit more oblong than that, larger than your head,” said James Hyslop, Christie’s head of science and natural history.

A rare find.

The moon rock was reportedly found in the Sahara by an anonymous finder.

Scientists confirmed its origin after comparing it with rock samples brought back by the US’ Apollo space missions to the moon.

So guys, if you have RM10 million, would you spend it on a moonrock?
