As the world continues to deal with the deadly Wuhan coronavirus, there are many unsung heroes quietly working hard to prevent it from spreading further.

One group of unsung heroes work at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport - they're the cleaning staff.

The staff have been working tirelessly since the outbreak happened, wiping down surfaces that come into regular contact with hands, including escalator handrails, trolley handles and signages.

Many noticed the areas being thoroughly disinfected by the cleaners in a bid to reduce the risk of the virus spreading.

According to a Malay Mail report, photos of the hardworking staff were being shared on social media with many praising their determination and hard work.

Tirelessly working to keep us safe

“You are all the country’s heroes. Thank you,” said Facebook user Haniza Baharom.

“Salute! Not all heroes wear capes. Some have rags and disinfectants,” wrote Facebook user Aiza Zainol.

We salute you!
