Fed up with the lack of GPS signal when you're driving through a tunnel?

Well, you don't need to bang your head on the steering wheel any longer, because there’s finally a solution for you.

Never get lost underground anymore

Navigation app Waze is reportedly working with the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) City to bring you Bluetooth-enabled devices known as Waze Beacons.

According to a report by paultan.org, the new initiative will be implemented across the TRX highway and basement roads leading to car parks in the area.

The report said that battery-powered beacons will emit a signal that will help navigation apps such as Waze to ensure that connectivity is not disrupted when travelling underground and when navigating through covered locations with multiple exits and roundabouts within the TRX.

Here's the cool bit: Malaysia is the first country in Southeast Asia to try out the system.

The system is already being used in other countries like United States, France, Italy and Australia, and soon, we can add Malaysia to the list (yay!).

Driving and navigating underground will be a breeze after this!
