An altercation between two men ended in tragedy after one of them was fatally stabbed in an incident that took place at Kilometre 12, Jalan Trans Perak, near Changkat Lada, early yesterday morning.
The suspect in the case, identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Farizzal Fazly Mohd Zulkifly, reportedly fled the scene in a black Proton Wira sedan following the incident.
According to Perak Tengah District Police Chief Superintendent Hafezul Helmi Hamzah, police received information regarding the incident at 5:49 AM on 10 June.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered stab wounds during the encounter and was rushed to a nearby clinic. However, he was later pronounced dead by a medical officer.
It is understood that jealousy may have been the motive behind the crime. However, the case is still under investigation, and police are actively searching for the suspect.

Based on information released to the public, the suspect’s last known address is in Kampung Guntur Tengkek, Batu Kikir, Negeri Sembilan. There is also a possibility that he is currently seeking shelter in a nearby area.
The investigation is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Police have urged members of the public with any information regarding the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward to assist with investigations.
