This saying is true, and several viral photos proves that this extends to the animal kingdom as well.
'My baby needs help'
Social media was abuzz recently when several photos showing a mother cat bringing her kitten to a hospital seemingly to seek medical help went viral online.
The pictures were originally shared by Melina Brakels on the Facebook page Cats Doing Cats Stuff on 6 December, and it has since been shared more than 47,000 times.
"The mama cat took her kitten to the hospital to get help, I’m crying,” Melina wrote in the post.
According to UK tabloid Daily Mirror, the incident reportedly happened back in May 2020.
A woman by the name of Merve Ozcan was waiting in the accident and emergency department of a hospital in Istanbul, Turkey when she spotted by mama cat walking up to a group of paramedics and hospital workers before depositing her little kitten.
The medical officers then proceeded to inspect the kitten for any injuries, and the mama cat can be seen waiting patiently for the medical staff to finish their health check.
Thankfully, the baby cat did not suffer from any injuries.
Some of the staff members even gave the mama cat some milk and food, before sending both felines to a vet for better care.
