This is especially true after PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) announced earlier this week that TnG reload facilities at all toll plaza exit lanes will cease to exist beginning 5 November.
Malaysians didn't take the news particularly well, and they let their feelings show on Twitter when the hashtag #MansuhTouchNGo became a trending topic, with Netizens using the hashtag to voice their dissatisfaction over the limited top-up alternatives and unreasonable surcharge:
I can’t imagine stuck at toll bcs I the e-wallet isn’t working or not available then I need to walk pulak leaving my car behind to topup my card. Kalau jenis mak macam aku yg selalu travel with anak kecil macam mana. Kena dukung anak keluar & jalan? #MansuhTouchNGo

It holds tight and won't let go
Monopoly has lead to harm
Time to #MansuhTouchNGo https://t.co/qOuAj2ybRK
Now, let's hold big corporations accountable for their shitty services. They've managed to get away with providing subpar services for so long, that consumers are the ones paying the price. Get your shit together @MyTouchnGo! #MansuhTouchNGo https://t.co/LozGGgCf1K

TouchNGo is the stupidest monopoly system I have ever seen in any country ever. Having almost all Malaysians using it but still inconvenient. No topups at tolls, lack of self reload stations at rnr and train stations, high service charge at Petronas, 7e #MansuhTouchNGo

its almost 2020,
why your card still can’t topup via any online banking?
kemon la.. just verify user, verify card, then make topup direct dari online banking to TnGo card, not to e-wallet. JUST direct to CARD!.. ?#MansuhTouchNGo
#MansuhTouchNGo & let us use our credit/debit card for toll payment. no more issue of insufficient balance etc.

ada e-wallet pun loser, topup xboleh guna @ closed-toll highway (toll based on distance i.e PLUS). don't implement system half cooked lah
monopoly ends now TnG ?
While it was PLUS which made the announcement, people targeted TnG, whose parent company is CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, in the tweets.TouchNGo is a scam. Setahun tak pakai, your card is invalid, your money burn. #MansuhTouchNGo

PLUS, on 1 November, announced that reload facilities at all toll plaza exit lanes will be abolished beginning 5 November.
The company said in a statement that the decision was made to reduce congestion caused by reload activities at all toll plazas in the northern region (between Hutan Kampung and Ipoh Utara) and the southern region (between Seremban and Skudai).
It also said the move is also to ensure the safety of PLUS customer service agents, as there have been several cases where heavy vehicles crashed into toll booths at the toll plazas.
It added that there are more than 11,000 reload facilities throughout the country including ATMs, petrol stations, convenience stores, rest areas and shopping malls.
What do you guys think? Do you think it's a good move?
