A massive asteroid will be whizzing past Earth on 29 November.

While the asteroid, which is said to be as wide as Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, it should not pose a threat to us, Earthlings.


Speeding through space at 25.07km/s (which is roughly more than 90,000kmh), it is no wonder that the experts at NASA are keeping a close eye on this one.

According to Express UK, NASA has defined the asteroid named 2000 WO107, as a Near-Earth Object (NEO).

But not to worry though, 2000 WO107 will only be travelling 0.02876 Astronomical Units to Earth (4,302,434km).

It is still considered an NEO though as NEOs are defined as asteroids and comets that travel within 1.3 astronomical miles of Earth.

An opportunity to study the object

While it will not be visible to the naked eye, those with small telescopes may be able to catch a glimpse of the monsterous object.

Scientists and experts will also be studying the asteroid and will have a better understanding and clearer picture because of its sheer size.

NASA experts are also studying this particular asteroid as it's subsequent passes could be even closer to Earth.

Let's just hope that nothing can veer it off its current path!
