Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh has always had a special place in her heart for animal conservation and she wants to come home to continue her efforts.

In case you didn't know, the Ipoh-born actress first volunteered at the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre when she adopted an orangutan nearly a decade ago.

Yeoh did a documentary in 2009 titled Among the Apes with Michelle Yeoh in Sepilok, a place that is world-renowned for their work in rehabilitating orphans back into the wild.

Michelle Yeoh recently spent some quality time with orphaned young elephants rescued in Sabah.
The international movie star is proud to see the ongoing wildlife conservation work that is being done in Sabah, especially the Sabah Wildlife Rescue unit that is actively rescuing and caring for endangered wildlife in Borneo, as reported by the New Straits Times.

Besides the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Sepilok, Yeoh also supports the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre.

This centre is a new establishment set up to help captive sun bears get rehabilitated and be able to survive on their own when they are released back into the wild.

If Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh can do it, so can we. It is now more important than ever to join our efforts and give our support to animal conservation work that is being done throughout the country.

So if you wish to lend a helping hand to the Sabah Wildlife Department, you may reach out to them here.
