In case you didn't know, the Ipoh-born actress first volunteered at the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre when she adopted an orangutan nearly a decade ago.
Yeoh did a documentary in 2009 titled Among the Apes with Michelle Yeoh in Sepilok, a place that is world-renowned for their work in rehabilitating orphans back into the wild.
The international movie star is proud to see the ongoing wildlife conservation work that is being done in Sabah, especially the Sabah Wildlife Rescue unit that is actively rescuing and caring for endangered wildlife in Borneo, as reported by the New Straits Times.
Besides the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Sepilok, Yeoh also supports the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre.
This centre is a new establishment set up to help captive sun bears get rehabilitated and be able to survive on their own when they are released back into the wild.
