It's been more than a year since we've all been battling COVID-19 and the struggle is far from over.

Anger levels are at an all-time high, and bullshit tolerance is at -350.

This is probably why #AdhamBabaLetakJawatan (AdhamBabaResign) started trending on Twitter today.

Angry Malaysians just could not swallow the fact that a new ministerial order was passed requiring ministers who travelled overseas to undergo quarantine for only 3 days now!

Nonsensical changes

According to a report by The Star, the new ministerial order was issued by the government on Monday (8 February) and will be enforced today (9 February) until the 1st of August.

The report also detailed that the order was published in the government gazette under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act (Act 342).

It was signed by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba (yes, the person who first brought our attention to the "miraculous properties" of air suam. ???)

No need for 10, ministers only need to quarantine for 3 days.

The order states that Cabinet ministers returning from any overseas official visits will be exempted from Section 15 of the Act.

Instead of the mandatory 10-day self quarantine being practiced by Malaysians, these politicians will only need to undergo observation for three days or surveillance until they are discharged.

Sounds absolutely "fair" kan.

Just to note, our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin recently returned from an official visit to Indonesia and our Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein is on a working visit to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). #videocalltakbolehke?

Malaysians enraged by double standards

Of course, Malaysians were angered by the news!

Honestly, we cannot brain this decision either.

Unless these politicians have secretly injected themselves with a COVID-19 vaccine which they have yet to inform us about, they should just quarantine at home for 10 days too.

Don't just come up with SOP after SOP, follow it as well lah.

If not, just stay the heck away from us please. We really don't want another surge in cases. Terima kasih in advance.
