M'sian Teacher Warms Hearts by Running with Student in Wheelchair to Make Sure He Feels Included

For most kids, school is a time and place to hang out with friends by participating in school activities together. However, for one disabled student, he spent his entire life sitting on the sidelines, watching as his friends did the things he longed to do.

Not wanting his student to feel left out despite his physical challenges, one teacher went the extra mile to push the student who uses a wheelchair to join the school cross-country run.

In a video that touched many, a mother shared how a teacher willingly sacrificed by pushing her wheelchair-bound son in a recent school sports event.

According to the video's caption, which has since gone viral, the mother, Adeela Syakila, shared how touched she felt as she watched her son smiling brightly while a male teacher was pushing him.

She shared, "It's the day that Adam had waited his whole life. His first experience. He had never joined any sports events and could only watch his friends from the sideline. Thank you Teacher Fairus for your sacrifice to give Adam a chance."

Based on the tagged location, the touching incident happened in Padang Terap, Kedah.

As of this writing, the video has garnered over 300,000 views on TikTok. Many users voiced their gratitude towards the teacher for his kind gesture. One user commented that the teacher involved, Teacher Fairus, was his senior back in school and had always been thoughtful and kind, especially towards his juniors.

"May the traffic light be always green, his wallet filled with RM50, always got a parking at a shady spot, loved by all and may all his tasks were ease," said a user.
