Myvi Driver Seen Being Attacked by Motorcyclists in Viral Video, Here's What Really Happened

A few days ago, a video went viral on social media showing a group of motorcyclists chasing and attacking a Myvi near the Batu 13 toll plaza in Puchong.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident, which occurred around 4 AM, began after the Myvi driver, a 52-year-old security guard, had stopped at the side of the road to make a phone call.

According to a report by Berita Harian, the group of motorcyclists then approached the security guard and asked his friend whether they were police officers.

Feeling uneasy, the security guard and his friend decided to leave the scene, prompting the group to chase them.

In the now-viral video, one motorcyclist can be seen kicking the Myvi’s side mirror as they sped down the road. The security guard has since filed a police report regarding the incident.

11 individuals arrested

Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad, said that a total of eleven individuals have been arrested, the majority of whom are underage.

He added that during a raid around Puchong and Shah Alam on September 30, police arrested nine individuals aged between 13 and 21.

Meanwhile, two others, both aged 16, were arrested today in Puchong.

Muhamad Farid said one of the 16-year-olds is suspected of breaking the rear window of the security guard’s car.

Additionally, police have seized three motorcycles believed to have been used in the incident. All suspects have been remanded for four days under Section 279 and Section 427 of the Penal Code.
