The Nasi Kandar Restaurant That Started The Whole Sivagangga Cluster Now Permanently Shut Down
The owner of Nasi Kandar Salleh in Napoh, Kedah has gotten many Malaysians angry with his blatant disregard of the mandatory COVID-19 quarantine that caused the Sivagangga cluster.
Many have called for the restaurant to be closed and the Permanent Resident (PR) status of the owner to be revoked.
If you're one of those who wished for the outcome, you'd be happy to know at least half of it is already fulfilled. 
Astro Awani reported that the nasi kandar shop hasn't been in operations since the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) took effect and it looks very likely that it never will be operating again.

Quoting Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, the report indicated that the restaurant's licence has been revoked and the premise will be sealed by the Majlis Daerah Kubang Pasu once TEMCO ends.
"Regarding the shop (nasi kandar) Salleh, it's been instructed to close. I heard that there's no period to reopen. I was also informed that other actions (including) the sealing of the premise will be done and the restaurant will not reopen," he reportedly said.
Considering that the irresponsible actions of the restaurant owner led to the imposing of TEMCO in four areas in Kedah, the spread of COVID-19 to dozens across several states and caused worry among Malaysians, the consequences don't seem all that unfair.
We hope other business owners will be more responsible and everyone will follow the SOPs and guidelines that KKM have recommended so we can finally be free of COVID-19. In the meantime, remember to play your part too, 'kay, guys?
