Supplies for essential items such as face masks, hand sanitisers, and anything related to that are running low throughout the country.
Being able to buy them now is considered a luxury, especially after some online sellers are selling it at crazy, fluctuated prices.
But the worst part about this situation is that there are some irresponsible Malaysians who obtained these essentials in the worst way ever – stealing them from hospitals.
What the hell?? Serius la.. Time macam ni la visitors ambil kesempatan. Fcking selfish people pic.twitter.com/NpgkLqdJy5

Outpour of anger
Over the past few days, healthcare workers have shared, on social media, cases of sanitisers going ‘missing’.Netizens were angered when they found about this and lamented that the healthcare workers are the ones who need them the most as they are most at risk.
As if these incidents are not bad enough, some of the perpetrators brazenly posted and admitted to taking these items home with them.
Jenis macam ni pun kita kena basmi. #PencuriSanitizer pic.twitter.com/DOVgb5IpbO

Anda tau, banyak sanitiser kami di hospital dicuri pesakit & pelawat. Harta rakyat & kerajaan. Bukan milik peribadi anda!

Adakah anda fikir sanitiser yang bukan hak anda akan melindungi anda drpd COVID19? https://t.co/jVROkqIrsx
Wifey works in hospital. Said hand sanitizer dh critical. Bnyk kena curi dek patients. Apparently some people x pike dosa. Dosa mencuri + dosa membunuh indirectly.

My SIL is now 8/9 month pregnant and is a front liner at hosp putrajaya. Bila tengok ramai yang masih berdegil, tambahan lagi sekarang, yang curi hand sanitizer n mask. Thinking about her makes me sad. Are you satisfied now people? 1st world infrastructure, 3rd world mentality.

Luckily, the Health Ministry has announced that visitors are no longer allowed to visit patients (except emergency cases) following the MCO.
With that, we hope that our healthcare frontliners won’t face such situations again.
To healthcare workers across Malaysia, we thank you for all that you’ve done and sacrificed for the country. You are our heroes!
