Malaysians have been extremely frustrated with the way the authorities have been handling the COVID-19 pandemic recently.

Escalating figures and increasing death rates are also really worrying.

Despite the issues, Malaysia is still doing pretty well (that is, according to the Lowy Institute).

Not too shabby.
The Sydney-based think tank ranked Malaysia at 16th place in their COVID-19 Performance Index, according to Bernama.

We garnered an average score of 71 per cent, which is not too shabby and worthy of a B.

Not doing too bad

In the ranking, Malaysia's efforts were said to be ahead of countries like Finland, Norway and even South Korea.

The top 10 countries are New Zealand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Cyprus, Rwanda, Iceland, Australia, Latvia and Sri Lanka.

Top and bottom.
The bottom 10 countries are Chile, Ukraine, Oman, Panama, Bolivia, United STates, Iran, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil.
