Pangkor & Kuala Terengganu Tops List of Holidays Searches in Agoda for 2023

Agoda's New Horizons List, a list that compares year-on-year searches for destinations searched in the Malaysian market, has revealed that Pangkor and Kuala Terengganu have topped the charts in comparisons of searches made on Agoda in November 2022 and 2023.

Kuala Terengganu	40%
Miri	33%
Kuantan	33%
Alor Setar	31%

The findings are notable as Agoda revealed that major cities like Kuala Lumpur and Penang used to top the list of searches and the trend has shifted to smaller towns and cities instead. This means that when people are searching for a holiday on Agoda, they prefer these smalelr cities.

Pangkor Island saw an increase of 45% in search traffic while Kuala Terengganu saw a 40% increase.

Of the most surprising revelations from the list is that Alor Setar, the capital of Kedah has cracked the top 5 in searches. Not only did Langkawi not make the top 5 list, the jewel of Kedah has been replaced by the city of Alor Setar and we can see why. Just look at it.
