You think that's not possible? That's exactly what was spotted in Johor Bahru recently:
A 55-second video showing the pink dust tornado swirling around in the southern state has gone viral on social media, with close to 17,000 views to date.
The video was uploaded on the We Are Malaysians' Facebook page last Sunday (29 September).
In the brief video, a rotating column of air with an unusual pink hue was recorded through a car, and when the driver drove through it, dust and water were recorded landing on its windscreen.
According to a report by Malay Mail, the video was recorded near the Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) in Pengerang.
Such tornado is known as a 'dust devil', which is formed when one section of the ground heats up faster than its surrounding grounds on a hot and dry day.
Naturally, the incident intrigued social media users, many of whom doubted the occurrence of the tornado. Some even claimed that it is made up of airborne industrial pollutants, as the pink hue looked "dodgy".
Whatever it is, it must have been a sight to behold.
