If you think weddings in your family can be drama-filled, wait till you hear the story of how a wedding in Suzhou, China unfolded.

A couple was set to get married and all was well until the groom's mother noticed a birthmark on the soon-to-be bride's hand.

It was exactly the same as the one her long-lost daughter had on her's!

Confirmed the identity

Tears of joy

Oriental Daily picked up the story of how the groom's mother was nervous but decided to ask the bride's parents if they found and raised her.

It was not a known fact that the bride was adopted, so the question came as a shock to her parents, who confirmed that they found the girl walking along a road almost 20 years ago.

They adopted and raised her as their own.

However, instead of calling off the wedding, the bride was so overjoyed, she burst into tears. She told the Chinese media that finding her biological parents was more of a joyous occasion compared to the wedding itself.

Wedding went on as planned

You'd think that would have ended the wedding plans (you know, the question of incest and all), but not before they were served with yet another plot twist.

It turns out that the groom was also adopted, which means that the couple aren't exactly siblings and definitely not related by blood.

The groom's mother revealed that she had searched for her missing daughter for many years, but to no avail. Heartbroken, she decided to adopt a baby boy.

In the end, the happy couple got hitched, because both the groom and bride's parents see no issue with the marriage.

Luckily for everyone involved that the discovery ended up being a good news and cause for double celebrations instead of years of therapy!
