Postponed For A Year; Genting's New Theme Park Will Open In 2021
COVID-19 has changed the world and forced us to adapt to the 'new normal'.
While we continue to deal with the pandemic, businesses are also being impacted worldwide.
One such business is Genting Highlands.

According to a report in The Star, the postponement of the opening was due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the Movement Control Order (MCO).
"As development works on the outdoor theme park were affected by the MCO, the group is working on a revised timeline for the completion and opening of the outdoor theme park, ” said the company.
A number of new attractions
The theme park was supposed to have an initial 20 rides, including four roller coasters.
Since it closed down back in 2014, there were plans to turn it into a '20th Century Fox' theme park that was scheduled to open in 2018, but a messy lawsuit derailed the plans.
It's a shame, but we guess it's for the best.
