Apparently, Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah has deactivated her Twitter account @cheminahsayang following toxic comments from ill-hearted netizens.
The Queen, who was very active on Twitter, regularly updates her followers (whom she calls her “Twitter friends”) about her daily life and even shares exclusive never-before-seen photos with the public.
Many Malaysians expressed their sadness and disappointment towards the cyber bullies, and they have collectedly pleaded Her Majesty to reactivate her account that went offline on Wednesday night (11 September).
The Queen has over 230,000 followers at the time of her deactivation.
Twitter user Shafiqah Othman lamented that the Queen “only posts about her husband, her children, and her kittens. Only a hateful person would be bitter about things like that.”
Raja Permaisuri Agong literally only posts about her husband, her children, and her kittens. Only a hateful person would be bitter about things like that. We're so mean for absolutely no goddamn reason. Maybe it's true that royalty shouldn't bother with lowly people like us. https://t.co/MCenwnL8dH

Another user, Adam, tweeted: “You are literally the worst person in this country when you made our cheerful Permaisuri Agong deactivate her Twitter account”.
The Queen’s presence on social media was very much welcomed by fellow Malaysians, especially after the King’s coronation, as she gives us a glimpse into the life of the members of the royal family, as well as a different, more humble side of her.
Here’s what other Malaysians had to say following her decision to deactivate her Twitter account:
Woke up to the sad news that DYMM Raja Permaisuri Agong has deactivated her Twitter account due to negative comments by some stupid Malaysians.

Kenapa busuk hati sangat ni? pic.twitter.com/YxxDa8yEHI
Sad. I love seeing permaisuri Agong's tweet. It's totally normal for anyone to not loving anyone's tweet. Tp kat siapa pun, if you tak suka baca there's always a mute button. Sekalipun you block, keep it to yourself. Spreading the hatred for no reason is plainly rude & busuk hati https://t.co/miD1n6ehS2

Some stupid Malaysians sangat dengki dan busuk hati. Korang kalau tak suka orang tu, then just mute/block and keep it to yourself. Don’t bring negativity especially to our Permaisuri Agong. This is very sad. pic.twitter.com/ayNEhSS46r

"At a time of increasing racial polarisation and negativity, Tunku Azizah and Al-Sultan Abdullah have been beacons of national hope and unity."
