We’re counting down the days until Hari Raya comes around. Some of you might’ve already started your early commute to your hometown to avoid getting stuck in the festive season traffic.

Only those who have experienced being stuck in a massive jam would know how painstaking the journey can be. When that happens, we are pretty sure a part of you secretly wished you could fly yourself to your kampung.

Well, you might be able to do so without taking a commercial airline because a local company has offered helicopter rides as an alternative to return to your hometown this Hari Raya.

The owner, Hazmi is also from Kelantan.
According to Sinar Harian, over 20 helicopters are available for the 'Balik Raya Elak Jem' service provided by Hazmi Dimasyq Group.

The company owner, Hazmi Hanipa, says that this is the first time in history such service is introduced during the festive season.

“This is the first year we offer private helicopter services for Hari Raya. So far, there has been 11 bookings whereby the majority of it is from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu, Kelantan,” Hazmi told the Malay daily.

The festive traffic no one looks forward to.
The first helicopter ride takes flight this 3 June, but before you call them to make your booking, you might want to have a closer look at the price tag.

A one-way trip will set you back up to RM30,000! There are two types of helicopters offered – three seaters and six seaters.

Hazmi says that a one-hour trip for six people will cost RM17,000 and a trip to Kota Bharu takes three hours, hence the higher price tag.

Wanna impress your makcik-makcik bawang? There's nothing better than going home in a helicopter.
