Vintage luxury handbag resellers Vintage Sac MY recently shared a post retelling the story of how they lost a Louis Vuitton Locky BB Parcel in Blue Jean worth RM6,500.

The retailer recounts that in March, the parcel was picked up by a Lalamove delivery partner as usual and since the value of the bag was more than this writer's salary, the retailer took a photo of the driver and trusted the parcel to him.

After two hours, the parcel still had not been delivered and till this day, the parcel and the delivery driver are both missing. In such cases, most sellers are not responsible for the loss of the product and the customer bears the burden of the stolen goods.

But in this case, being the good guys they are, Vintage Sac MY actually refunded the customer and bore the loss. Lalamove on its part has not taken responsibility for the theft and switched the blame over to the retailer, citing a lack of insurance.

What do you think? Should Lalamove be held responsible? Should all parcels be insured and should delivery companies amend their T&Cs to account for this issue? Let us know by DM-ing us on Facebook or Instagram.
