Need to go out on a grocery run but afraid that abang polis won't let you pass the roadblock?

Easy, just flash them your utility bill.

Effective 1 April

Selangor police have advised residents to bring along a copy of their utility bills with their current addresses on it if they find the need to go out during the Movement Control Order (MCO), The Star Online reported.

According to Selangor Integrity and Standards Compliance Department chief ACP Mohd Ismail Muslim, the latest rule took effect on 1 April and will last until the MCO is lifted.

This is to comply with the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2020, where Rule 4 of the Regulation stipulates that any travel for reasons allowed is restricted to a 10km-radius from the person’s residence.

Remember to keep a copy in the car, guys.
"During the MCO period, just keep any of your utility bill in your vehicle and if the police ask you where do you want to go, just tell them that you are heading home or want to buy daily necessities by showing us the bill, ” he was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, he added that those who are involved in essential services must display written permission from their employer if requested by the authorities.

Do this and we guarantee you that you will not get into trouble with the police.
