As the number of COVID-19 cases are down to single-digits, some are wondering when SOP's such as social distancing and wearing masks will end.

Not so soon, we are afraid!

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the SOPs must be adhered to until a vaccine is found for the virus.



“Our battle against the disease is far from over. There are currently efforts being taken by China, the United States and other countries to find a vaccine against COVID-19."

“However, as long as there is no vaccine, we will continue with the SOP and urge the rakyat to practise it constantly to safeguard us against Covid-19, ” he said, as reported by The Star.

Malaysia on top of things

Muhyiddin added that he was proud of the discipline shown by Malaysians in following the SOPs set by the Ministry of Health.

“The world has recognised Malaysia’s efforts as we are in the top five nations out of the 180 affected (that have successfully controlled the spread) of COVID-19.”

So guys, continue to follow the SOPs and we hope, one day with our collective effort, Malaysia will be virus-free!
