According to a report by Daily Mail, pizza came out on top for 44 countries worldwide with countries such as India, Indonesia and even South Korea preferring it.
Malaysian food also made it to the top 10 list thanks to local support.
While we have all sorts of food available here, Malaysians still preferred ordering our local delights.
Interestingly, neighbouring Singapore's most favourite takeout food is Thai while in Thailand, they preferred burritos!
Chinese food comes in second
As for the worldwide takeaway food trend, after pizza, it was Chinese food followed by Sushi that was most ordered.The other types of food that made it into the top 10 listing are: fish and chips, fried chicken, Indian, Korean, Thai, tacos, burrito, pasta and kebab.
The data could be slightly inaccurate though because no data was available for quite a number of countries.
