Suspect in Setia Alam Mall Shooting Shot Dead by Police at Pulau Ketam
In early February, it was reported that a mall cleaner at Setia Alam was injured after a man shot him in the legs and buttocks.
Not only that but one family who was on their way to leave the building was held at gunpoint by the suspect, who forced them to drive him out of the area.

Since then, the suspect, who was believed to be a local man in his 30s, had been on the run. However, a recent update reported that the suspect had been shot dead by the police earlier this morning on February 18.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the suspect had been shot dead after exchanging fire with the police at Pulau Ketam around 3 am.
Before the raid carried out by the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) and Selangor JSJ at a hotel, it was unclear whether the suspect, who had a criminal record for seven robberies and a drug-related crime, had been hiding out in Pulau Ketam or if he had planned to escape the country via the island.
Hussein also added that they had found two loaded guns on the suspect.
