In a world where even a mild cold warrants a medical leave, a teacher in Johor stands out for withstanding it all.

The teacher was seen in a video continuing to teach her class while being hooked to a respiratory device.

Malay Mail reported that the video was first uploaded in Tik Tok but was later taken down.

It was reuploaded on Twitter by user rulduff who claimed that the teacher is his aunt, Syaria'h Abdullah, who suffers from chronic asthma and had just recovered from Covid-19.

“She continues to teach despite having to use a respiratory device, because she was worried her Upper Six students would be left behind. I really salute my aunt’s dedication,” he wrote.

Separately, rulduff told Malay Mail that Syaria'h is a source of inspiration to her nephews and nieces as she offered free tutoring for them.

“She has even given us all mental and financial support, especially when we were broke university students.

“As far as I know, she also runs free tutoring sessions at her school for students who need help.

“She’s an inspiration to us all,” said rulduff.

Netizens, some of whom are the teacher’s former students, also shared the kind deeds that the teacher has done.

Bravo to this selfless teacher!
