Always wanted to visit Hawaii just so that you can re-enact your favourite 'Jurassic Park' scene, but you can't because you have no money?

Well, it's nothing like Hawaii, but the Melaka Bird Park has just launched their latest attraction that we feel would appeal to your inner 'Jurassic Park' fan.

Roaring good time

Malay Mail reported that the bird park has recently re-opened with new features and attractions.

Among the new attractions that you can look forward include the Junior Dinosaur Club (Dino Jr Fan Club).

When you're there, you can check out several dinosaur-themed attractions, including a true-to-size fossil replica of the Spinosaurus, dinosaur animatronics and even virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) dinosaur rides and games.

Your inner dino fan will be happy.
According to the news report, quoting state Housing, Local Government and Environment Committee chairman Tey Kok Kiew, the new attractions are estimated to pull in about 100,000 visitors.

With a total area of 2.02 hectares including public car parks, the Melaka Bird Park houses 113 birds from 23 species, including six peacock species.

“Since the opening on 23 November until yesterday (14 December), a total of 16,568 visitors visited the park and the number is expected to double by the end of the year.

“Melaka Bird Park, prior to this, was among the popular tourist destinations and a must visit by local and foreign tourists. We will try to rebuild it with various other attractions,” he was quoted as saying.

Tey also added that the park will be redeveloped further, and it will be incorporating a concept that features recreation, entertainment and education for its visitors regardless of age.

If you're looking for a great place to hang out this holiday season, why not check out the Melaka Bird Park?

Tickets to the park are pretty cheap (RM6 for adults and RM3 for children), so you won't go broke if you want to bring your whole kampung there.
