It looks like the haze season did more than just damage our lungs, it chased away some of our potential tourists as well.

In a Malaysiakini report, thousands of Chinese travellers have reportedly cancelled their holidays in Malaysia and opted to go to other countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand just to escape the haze.

Malaysia Inbound Chinese Association (Mica) reportedly told the news portal that that the Chinese nationals consist of more than 100 tour groups of 30 travellers each.

Smoke gets in your eyes, mouths, lungs, etc.
On top of that, Mica president Angie Ng revealed that 70 to 80 travel agencies have suffered a 20 per cent drop in business due to cancellations.

Despite that, there’s a little ray of hope in this hazy condition, as the Meteorological Department said the air quality in the country is set to improve next week due to the monsoon transition phase, which will bring about thunderstorms.

The situation doesn't sound so ideal, but hey, at least we can breathe again.
