Three Malaysians Chosen To Pursue Studies At The US Military Academy
Three Malaysians have made the country proud by being chosen to pursue their studies in the United States Military Academy.
According to a report by Astro Awani, Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) alumni Muhammad Aniq Hilman Haslimi, Mateshan Varma Subramaniam and Grace Sian Ern Hui have just completed their studies at the Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM).
Among the qualifications required for the selection include scoring at least 7As in SPM, a pass in the Australian English test, a pass in UPNM as well as the US interviews.
Not just that, the candidates would also have to have strong physical standards and endurance.
Located in West Point, New York, the US Military Academy grants a bachelor of science degree, and the students will be graded based on their academic program, military leadership performance and mandatory participation in competitive athletics.
Each year, around 1,300 students enter the Academy in July, with about 1,000 students graduating.
In 2017, two National Defence University (UPNM) alumni, Wan Kamal Fitri Wan Kamal and Sayniish Pillay Muniandy, also gained admission to the prestigious military academy.
