This is a classic example of just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

And because of that, two Malaysians got into the trouble with the law for pulling a dangerous stunt at a petrol station.

Video went viral

Two men who thought it was a good idea to drift a car in a petrol station were arrested for their irresponsible act after a video of the act went viral on social media.

In the 17-second video, the men, reportedly aged 37 and 39, were seen drifting a blue Subaru BZ dangerously close to the petrol pumps.

They surrendered themselves at the Arau police station once they found out that their act has been shared widely, Bernama reported.

Arau district police chief, Supt Nanda Ma’arof, reportedly said that the Subaru BRZ car seen in the video was seized from one of the suspects' home.

It was also learned one of the suspects owned the petrol station and organised the drifting event, while his friend drove the car seen in the video.

Both men are currently out on bail, but will be charged in court soon under Section 42(1) and Section 81(2) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for endangering the lives of the public.

Needless to say, these kind of dangerous acts are not encouraged, no matter how good a driver you are.
