Looks like this year had just been a series of challenges for popular ride-hailing service Uber. From the worldwide #DeleteUber trend, to the lawsuit filed by Alphabet Inc’s Waymo claiming that Uber allegedly stole their designs for autonomous vehicles, to claims of sexual harassment within the company by a former female employee; Uber is now in the spotlight once again, no thanks to its CEO Travis Kalanick.

In a video published by Bloomberg, Kalanick was caught on camera arguing with an Uber driver who complained about how the rates for drivers have been cut and he had lost money because of that.

The 37-year-old who has reportedly been working as an Uber driver since 2011 and he was merely trying to raise the plight of fellow drivers to the leader of the organisation he was a part of.

During the heated argument, Kalanick is heard in the video saying, “"Some people don't like to take responsibility for their own s***. They blame everything in their life on somebody else. Good luck!"

After the story broke, the CEO quickly responded in a statement to all Uber employees, apologising for his disrespectful behaviour towards the driver.

“It’s clear this video is a reflection of me—and the criticism we’ve received is a stark reminder that I must fundamentally change as a leader and grow up. This is the first time I’ve been willing to admit that I need leadership help and I intend to get it,” Kalanick wrote.
