University of Malaya (UM) students, alumni, faculty members, and lecturers will be pleased to hear another piece of news about their institution that is sure to make their hearts beaming with pride.

According to the New Straits Times, UM has earned their greatest achievement to date after being listed as one of the top 20 universities in Asia.

Last year, UM was at the 24th spot, and now, they've moved up to the 19th spot on this year’s 'QS World University Rankings: Asia' list.

Who knows, we might break into the top 10 next year.
Not only that, the esteemed institution also placed third in the measure for international research network – a new indicator in the ranking assessment which gives credit for the volume of collaboration with universities outside Malaysia.

Earlier in September, UM was listed in the top 350 universities in the world list.
