Some people are just extremely lucky, and this diver from Massachusetts, United States, definitely belongs to that group.

All Michael Packard wanted to do while out diving recently was to hunt down some lobsters.

A crazy experience.Instead, he got swallowed by a humpback whale!

According to a report by Mothership Singapore quoting a report in The Guardian, 56-year-old Michael Packard, said he felt a “huge bump” and “everything went dark.”

He said he initially thought that a shark attacked him.

He later discerned that he was stuck in a whale’s mouth and was surrounded by a “curtain of baleen”.

Baleen is a filter-feeding system inside the mouths of baleen whales. A humpback whale is a type of baleen whale.

All he could do at that time was to keep breathing into his scuba tank regulator.

“He was going to spit me out, or swallow me,” he said.

What a story!

Luckily for him, the whale chose the former. It decided to spit him out.

“All of a sudden he (the whale) went up to the surface and just erupted and started shaking his head. I just got thrown in the air and landed in the water. I was free and I just floated there. I couldn’t believe … I’m here to tell it,” Packard said.

What a story indeed!
