By now, all of you know that national men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia has made the country proud by winning the All-England Badminton Championships men's singles title on Sunday.

With the win, the national hero has moved up two places in the Badminton World Federation's (BWF) rankings.



He is now placed eighth in the latest world ranking.

According to a report by Bernama, Lee has gained 12,000 points as the All England champion and has accumulated a total of 69,389 points from 25 tournaments he has played.

The 22-year-old has his career's best ranking now.

Japanese player Kento Momota currently holds the number one spot in the ranking with 109,118 points from 15 tournaments.



Meanwhile, Danish player Viktor Axelsen, whom Lee defeated on Sunday's match, holds the number two spot with 98,486 points.

Another Danish player Anders Antonsen holds the third spot with 94,875 points.
