There are a couple of instances in life where Malaysians will unite and stand together: when Dato' Lee Chong Wei plays Lin Dan in a final, any time Harimau Malaya goes up against Indonesia in a football match and when someone says Malaysian food sucks.

Well, Malaysian friends, it's time to unite and stand together because a website has decided to omit Malaysia from a 'best of street food' list.

All Malaysians right now.
US business website Ceoworld, who claims to be the world's leading business magazine for the higher management, recently revealed their 'World’s 50 Best Cities For Street Food-Obsessed Travellers 2019' list.

On top of the list is - gasp!- our closest neighbour Singapore, with Bangkok, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh and Mumbai rounding up the top five.

Here's the list of the top ten, in case you want to get yourself riled up:

NO MALAYSIAN CITIES IN THE TOP 10?!
Even more suprising than the fact that Singapore took the top spot (no offence, Singaporean friends) was the fact that no Malaysian cities even made the top 50!

Yup, not even famous Malaysian food havens like Penang, Ipoh and Melaka were given any love at all.

Naturally, netizens weren't happy with the ranking, and they weren't shy in letting their feelings known:

Angry commenters, unite!

You tell 'em, people! We wonder the same, bro.
According to Ceoworld, the data was collected from an annual survey involving 92,000 business travellers and 1,400 corporate travel agent in 86 countries, conducted over a three-month period.

"The 50 cities were apparently selected after reviewing many "best street food cities" lists and included those that appeared more than once," the magazine wrote.

"To get a figure for the number of street food vendors in each city CEOWORLD magazine analysed street food data in Google Maps."

What?

In other words, did any of them taste the food? Did anyone come to Malaysia to sample our street food?

Regardless of whatever "list" is out there, we know who is number one.
