A parrot in Thailand aparrotly has extremely expensive taste.

Instead of bird food, this parrot swallowed 21 diamonds recently!



According to a report by Mothership Singapore, the parrot’s owner noticed that his pet had lost its appetite and brought it to a veterinary hospital in Bangkok.

The Animal Space Hospital decided to take an x-ray of the bird and that's when they discovered that there were diamonds in its stomach.

Emergency surgery

Following the discovery, the bird was rushed for emergency surgery which took over an hour.

It is said that the bird had raided its owner's jewellery box and eaten the sparkly diamonds.



A vet from the hospital also told Thai media that birds tend to be attracted to glittery things and might accidentally ingest them.
