A little love and care can truly go a long way.

30-year-old Sarawakian Nur Hamizah Had proved this through pictures of her rescue cat Mei Mei.

When contacted by Rojak Daily, Nur Hamizah said that when she first saw Mei Mei, she was small, frail, had skin issues, infected wounds and smelt bad.



"She came in that condition to our home and we just could not let her be. We had to help," she said adding that she and her husband both had other cats at home too.

Nur Hamizah said that she has always been a cat-lover and just wanted to do something to help Mei Mei.

After months of vet appointments and proper food and love, Nur Hamizah said Mei Mei finally started to recover.

Her hair grew back, and she began to put on weight.

One year on, Nur Hamizah shared before and after pictures of Mei Mei on the Kelab Pencinta Kucing Malaysia (Group) recently, and the transformation stunned everyone.

"Mei Mei, the street cat. From ugly and smelly to a princess now," Nur Hamizah wrote on the post.

What a change!

The post got over three hundred comments with many praising Nur Hamizah and expressing how stunned they were by Mei Mei's transformation.

Quite a number also shared pictures of their own adopted street cats and their transformations as well.
