Once bitten twice shy. This saying usually applies to most situations, but not in the case of a certain wing chun ‘master’.

In a fight last year, the kung fu master known as Ding Hao was mercilessly beaten up in the ring by Chinese MMA fighter Xu Xiaodong, who has made it his life mission to expose kung fu frauds.

While Ding pinned the blame for his failure on the organisers for not feeding him with enough rice before the fight last year (umm, okay), it didn’t stop him from wanting to show more of his wing chun moves.

Round two, same result.
He got his wish last weekend, as news portal South China Morning Post reported that he got back in the ring to fight another Chinese MMA fighter nicknamed "A Hu".

During the fight, Ding used his wing chun trapping techniques on A Hu but it barely worked because the latter kept raining down punches on Ding.

A Hu also threw in a bunch of Muay Thai moves on Ding, effectively rendering Ding's trapping useless. By this point, Ding had to abandon his wing chun moves and focus on blocking A Hu’s kicks with his arms.

Barely lasted two minutes in the ring.
Alas, one minute and 48 seconds into the fight, Ding fell face down after A Hu delivered a powerful kick to his head.

The referee then stopped the fight after Ding failed to stand up.

Despite being knocked out in an embarassing fashion, we don’t think this is Ding’s last venture in showcasing his wing chun moves against MMA fighters because his coach reportedly told the news portal that he wants Ding to fight again soon.

Well, we wish Ding all the best in the future. Maybe he'll last a full two minutes next time?
